Vitest is an open-source test framework built on Vite. It reuses the project's Vite config and transforms, runs TypeScript and ES modules without extra setup, and offers a Jest-compatible expect, mocking and snapshot API, so many Jest suites move over with small changes. It includes a fast watch mode and an optional browser mode.
