Middesk says it removed identifier_assessments from risk-assessment responses
Middesk said in its October 12, 2026, changelog that it had removed the identifier_assessments array from risk-assessment API responses and told integrations to stop depending on it. According to the entry, assessments retain overall verdict information, score, level and business-level dimensions; email risk is available through a separate email_risk order. The current response example in its risk-assessment history reference also omits the array. Verification remains incomplete: the dated announcement was retrieved through search results but could not be fetched directly, and the research found no independent report of the change.
Why it matters
Integrations that require identifier_assessments could reject responses or lose email-related decision inputs. Developers should update parsers, validation schemas and decision rules, test responses without the field, and avoid treating missing identifier data as a low-risk result. Teams that need email risk should verify the separate order’s contract and account availability; the reviewed documentation does not resolve its cost, field-level equivalence or exact production cutover.
